It would be nice if the installer loaded up the default system look and feel. This would make the installer appear friendlier and much more native. try { UIManager.setLookAndFeel( UIManager.getSystemLookAndFeelClassName()); } catch (Exception e) { }

Logged In: YES user_id=105844 The new installer does exactly this. Tested on some Linux, Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
