running the self-extracting installer results in : java.lang.VerifyError: jython-21 IBM states that: "-" (dash) isn't a legal character for a class name. Any JVM that accepts it isn't compliant (or has verification turned off). This is the answer I received when creating a problem report with IBM about running the installer jython seems to work fine if manually installed

jython seems to work fine if manually installed
