Can I ask what you need this function call for? As noted in the documentation, this call is deprecated, primarily because it does not support ipv6. The point of no return has already been passed for ipv4, ipv4 address exhaustion is a reality. You're the first person who ever asked for this functionality. If you have good use case, I'll put in the work to support it. Are you sure it's what you want?
