Hello,

I have defined a very long string constant and I get the following syntax error :

string constant too large (more than 32767 characters)

Python accepts this.

Regards,

Hi Andre. This is a known limitation, see bug #1663711:
 http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1663711&group_id=12867&atid=112867

You may be able to work around it by building up your string at run-time from smaller smaller string constants, or reading your data in from a text file. Closing this ticket as duplicate.
